So what the heck do I do? 

I am the CADD Department Chair at Linn-Benton Community College in Corvallis Oregon where we offer 3 options:
1-year certificate in Manufacturing
1-year certificate in (AECO) Architectural, Engineering, Construction & Operations.
AAS Degree in CADD

Software Taught:
Autodesk apps - AutoCAD, Inventor, Revit, Civil 3D
Solidworks
Bluebeam

Outside of Education....

Photography:
A hobby of mine. This used to say I took professional event photography and such. Everyone is a "photographer" now, thank goodness to CEL PHONES. Now it's strictly for enjoyment and documentation.
I also canceled my ADOBE subscription, switching over to the Affinity suite. I own it, don't rent it, and when there are updates they are free.

Graphics:
Posters, Book Illustrations, Publications. As a CADD program instructor and department chair I develop my own instructional materials. 

One of the classes I teach is Product Design. The students have real customers with the need for prototypes. All designs are fully documented from the first customer meeting to the final product release to production. We don't just scratch out a design, 3D print it and push it out the door.
